Arsenal’s notes
The good impression of Guendouzi ( 5 )
It was pleasantly surprised, at the kickoff, to see the young French Mattéo Guendouzi, 19, in the starting lineup. And it is clear that the former Lorient rather successful his match, while most offensive Arsenal, including Özil and Mkhitaryan, plunged into a doldrums to the taste of Unai Emery. Ball-footed, Guendouzi has pretty well distributed, trying to play forward, and put a little impact in duels largely dominated by City’s entire encounter. His involvement in opening the Sterling score tarnishes his performance, as it leads to the face-to-face between Agüero and Cech. Fouls of youth will say some at 19, but the hairy trained at PSG showed beautiful things. And inevitably aspires to new tenures.

Manchester City ratings
All is well for Mendy ( 7 )
Pep Guardiola will be able to congratulate his side in the locker room for his complete match, serious and symbolized by his two assists, and for his respect tactical instructions. Often interposed in the midfield as a midfielder, a recurring side Guardiola, Mendy brought danger against an Arsenal eleven who did not really need to see the world champion around. A little irregular defensively, Benjamin Mendy nevertheless signed a big match, in different registers and was particularly dangerous by his sense of placement and appeal. His teammates and Bernardo Silva, scorer on a pass from his friend, can tell him “mercé”.
