Belgium tops FIFA rankings

Belgium is finishing this year at the top of the FIFA rankings. Roberto Martins’ team retains the top spot behind world champion France in the new rankings.

Belgian has one number with 1727 points in the latest list released on Thursday. France has one point behind two points. The Belgians have lost just two matches this year. In the Semi-final of the World Cup in Russia, 1-0 against the French, against the other, against Switzerland.

Brazil retains the number three position World number four runner-up Croatia in fourth place The England and Portugal, who have made it to the final round of the UEFA Nations League, have five and six respectively.

Uruguay, Switzerland, Spain, and Denmark have met the top ten. In the ranking of the top ten, the start of the new year will be the former three world champions Argentina (11), Germany (16) and Italy (18).
